KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Homicide detectives in Kansas City, Missouri, are seeking the public's help to identify two men wanted in connection with Monday's fatal shooting of Michael Garrett near at 63rd Street and James A. Reed Road.

Garrett, 40, and a female driver were at 63rd and Manchester Trafficway when police believe Bryant Robinson, 24, reportedly shot at them from a Dodge Ram pickup.

Garrett was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman also was hit during the gunfire, but she survived.

Robinson was charged Friday with second-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action, and one count of first-degree assault. He was the victim of a shooting in 2013 that left him paralyzed from the chest down.

KCPD said Garrett was suspected shooter who injured Robinson, butcharges were not pursued because Robinson refused to cooperate with police.

The two men police are searching for now are persons of interest in the April 1 shooting.
