KANSAS CITY, Mo. — It was a cold and rainy Saturday for tailgaters at the Kansas City Royals game.

But that didn't stop one couple's family and friends from gathering for what they thought was a gender-reveal party in the parking lot before a game against the Chicago White Sox.

Instead, Maggie and David Scott surprised the assembled mass by exchanging nuptials — then revealing the gender of the twins the couple is expecting.

"We wanted to have a gender reveal that no one forgets," David said.

KC Wedding 2 Go sent a pastor to make the marriage official, a surprise that left both families in shock.

"I thought the mascot was going to show up," said Cindy Bahmler, David's mom. "David said there was going to be a surprise at 11, and I thought it was the mascot."

Not to nitpick, after all who doesn't love a wedding, but why in the Royals parking lot?

"We love the Royals' stadium," Maggie said. "This is our place. We love baseball. We both grew up going to baseball games."

After exchanging "I do's," the couple, which already has three boys and a girl, announced they are expecting another boy and girl.
