Salvation Army seeking bell ringers

Salvation Army seeking bell ringers
Posted

The Salvation Army is in need of volunteers to ring bells and collect donations this holiday season.

The group is looking to fill time slots between Nov. 11 and Dec. 24. Applicants must be able to stand for extended periods of time and through winter-weather conditions.

You can sign up to volunteer, visit www.ringkc.com.

"Bell ringing has been a long-standing tradition around the world, and our volunteer bell ringers within each community are an essential part of this holiday campaign," said Major David Harvey, Divisional Secretary of The Salvation Army in Kansas City. "The funds raised through our Red Kettle Campaign not only support The Salvation Army for the upcoming year, but also help us provide other services throughout the year, including things like disaster response, help for the homeless, emergency rent and utility assistance, as well as substance abuse programs."
