KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police responded to two school bus crashes around 7 a.m. Wednesday morning.

One bus received minor damage at East 25th Street and Spruce Avenue when it collided with a van. There were children on board, but no one was hurt.

A second school bus was involved in a crash at East 24th Street and Brooklyn Avenue. No children were on the bus at the time.

The incidents involving the buses were just two of several minor crashes and slide-offs Wednesday morning.

Overland Park police asked that anyone involved in a non-injury accident turn in their accident report at a later date so resources could be focused on injuries.

Several metro and rural school issued cancellations or delays for class because of the light coating of snow on the roads.
