KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Even with an Arctic air mass beginning to recede after dropping the Midwest into the deep freeze this week, winter weather’s grip on the Kansas City region won’t relax quite yet
The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill has extended a Winter Weather Advisory for portions of Kansas and Missouri until 6 p.m. on Wednesday with another round of snow headed toward Kansas City.
The advisory, which covers the entire Kansas City metropolitan area, goes into effect at midnight and continues through Wednesday evening with a dusting up to three inches of accumulating snow expected.
More snow is expected to fall south and east of the I-35 corridor.
Drivers should plan for slick and potentially hazardous road conditions overnight and during the morning commute, possibly even for the evening commute on Wednesday.
