UPDATE, 2:30 p.m. | The Missouri State High School Athletics Association has moved state championships to several different sites:
Class 3: University of Missouri - Columbia
Class 4: Washington High School
Class 5: Battle High School
Para Events: University of Missouri - Columbia
A revised schedule is available on the MSHSAA website.
EARLIER | The Missouri State High School Athletics Association is telling high school track and field teams to stay home after suspending the 2019 MSHAA track and field championships in Jefferson City.
Emergency crews are going through Jefferson City after a tornado tore through the capital late Wednesday night.
A post on MSHSAA’s website says the Class 3, 4, and 5 Championships are suspended.
The organization plans to post more information later today.
