KCPD said the unidentified teen from KCMO “lost control” and fell into the path of a U.S. Postal Service vehicle delivering mail in the area of East 20th Street and Denver Avenue.

The crash happened shortly after 10 a.m.

The bicyclist emerged from an alley in the middle of the block on Denver Avenue, according to KCPD.

He was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The postal worker remained at the scene and was released pending further investigation.
