KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A teenage girl, approximately 16 years old, was killed in an early morning fire on Wheeling Avenue.
Fire crews were called to 117 Wheeling just after 10 a.m. Saturday.
Smoke and fire were reported on arrival.
Fire Chief Jimmy Walker said a teenage girl died in the fire.
The fire appears to be accidental, but the cause is still under investigation.
Bomb and arson investigators have been called to the scene to investigate.
