Teen shot in stomach in Overland Park should survive

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A teenage girl suffered serious injuries Friday evening in an Overland Park shooting.

According to police, a 17-year-old girl was shot in the stomach shortly before 8:30 p.m. at the Meadowlark Hill Apartment in the 9100 block of Robinson Street.

Police said the girl was shot during a possible robbery but is expected to survive. She was alert and talking when transported to the hospital.
