A 24-hour tennis marathon set for Friday plans to raise money for a harvesters program that helps feed local kids.

Tucker Fenske, the assistant head tennis instructor at Indian Hills Country Club, is part of the "serve-a-thon" starting at 6 p.m. August 4.

Tucker hopes to raise $7,500 for the Harvesters BackSnack program. BackSnack is a great way to make sure children have food over the weekends of the school year when they can’t receive their meals at school.

What does it take to get ready for 24 hours of tennis? According to Tucker, lots of stretching, some yoga, plenty of water and getting some rest.

He also needs a few more folks to play against, and of course any donations are always welcome.

Tucker's $7,500 goal would feed 30 kids for a full year. Or, in tennis terms, 30-Love!
