A Jackson County jury on Friday convicted Terrance Blanks, in the August 24, 2016 fatal shooting of Rocky Bradley in the parking lot of a convenience store.

Blanks, 31, was convicted of Murder 2nd Degree, and Armed Criminal Action.

According to court documents, Bradley and Banks had a confrontation inside the gas station.

Surveillance video showed Bradley exit the store and get in his truck. A witness says she saw Bradley grab a handgun.

The witness said Blanks exited the business and shot at Bradley as he sat in his truck.

Bradley got out of his vehicle, the two exchanged gunfire, and Blanks ran to his car and fled the scene.

The jury recommends 20 years on the murder conviction and ten years on the Armed Criminal Action conviction.

Blanks sentencing has been set for March 30.
