KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Authorities say golf star Tiger Woods is awake, responsive and recovering after a rollover crash in suburban Los Angeles.
Woods was seriously injured when his SUV crashed into a median and rolled several times on a steep road.
Harbor-UCLA Medical Center's Chief Medical Officer says Woods shattered his tibia and fibula bones on his right leg in multiple locations, with additional injuries in his ankle and foot.
A statement with an update on his health was posted on his Twitter account overnight.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but authorities say they did not see any evidence Woods was impaired when they arrived at the scene.
