KANSAS CITY, Mo. – No one was injured in an overnight fire that destroyed two apartment units in Kansas City on Thursday.
Firefighters responded the Vivian Oaks complex on North Oak Trafficway shortly after midnight, where a third-floor unit was on fire.
The fire department said the flames ignited in the kitchen of one unit and then spread to a second.
The American Red Cross is helping the residents of one unit. The person living in the other apartment had another place to stay.
