RAYTOWN, Mo. – The City of Raytown is down two top officials after they submitted their resignations recently.
On Friday, City Administrator Tom Cole submitted his resignation to the Board of Aldermen. His last day will be May 6.
Cole, who has been with the city since 2009, said the city has much to celebrate, but that he is moving on.
“At this time, I have a number of personal objectives I’d like to accomplish with my family and career that will demand a great deal of my attention,” Cole wrote in the letter. “For this reason, I am resigning.”
Friday was the last day for the city’s finance director.
Briana Burrichter had submitted her resignation to the board on March 13. She had served with the city since 2010.
“I appreciate all the vast learning opportunities I have had over the last five-plus years working at the city and hope I have provided back to the community the leadership and financial resolve it deserves,” Burrichter wrote in March.
She said she was leaving to pursue another opportunity.
