A woman has been arrested for hitting a Kansas City police horse during the Donald Trump protest March 12th.

Police say the mounted patrol was dispatched to 13th and Main to help with crowd control around 7 p.m.

Officers say a large group of protesters began grouping up and placing masks and scarves over their faces and locking arms.

The group then backed into the street, blocked traffic and moved towards the officers on the ground.

After being told to get back on the sidewalk numerous times, police say Foster approached the officer and his horse Dan, yelling and screaming in his face.

Foster then reportedly struck the horse in the face with an open hand, then fled into the crowd. Police then received tips that identified Foster by name.

The officer received a picture of Foster and positively identified her. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

The 29-year-old Foster was arrested March 18th, and released after posting $500 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court on May 4.
