Saturday afternoon a 17 year-old Grandview woman was attacked and knocked unconscious by three teenage boys while she was walking on the trial near 13700 Byars Road.
Police say about 4:00 p.m. the woman was approached by the boys who appeared slightly younger than her. One asked to use her cell phone.
The woman was then attacked from behind and knocked unconscious.
She was treated for non life-threatening injuries and released from an area hospital.
One of the suspects was a black male, and the other two were either white males or of mixed race.
Police have increased patrols on the trails to include foot and bike patrols.
Anyone seeing anyone suspicious on the trails are encouraged to call 911.
