KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A woman is dead after a crash on 71 Highway at Gregory Boulevard just after midnight.
Police said the 55-year-old Kansas City, Missouri, woman was struck by a Dodge Ram truck as she crossed the highway in her motorized wheelchair.
She died at the scene.
Police said the driver stopped immediately and cooperated with investigators.
The southbound lanes of 71 Highway were closed for about two and a half hours.
