UPDATE 12/27, 1:47 p.m.: One Kansas City neighborhood remains in mourning after a fire claimed the life of a Kansas City man.
Sunday morning, neighbors identified the man as Fred Hill.
"Mr. Fred was so sweet, he didn't harm nobody. He wouldn't harm a soul. Just to see him go like that, is just ridiculous," said Yolanda Williams, who lives next door.
Williams told 41 Action News Hill moved into his home five years ago. He was constricted to a wheelchair.
"We are all hurting over here. We are all hurt, we are just stunned... we can't believe it," she said.
The Kansas City Fire Department is continuing to investigate the cause.
