KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Police are looking for a man who escaped officers while wearing handcuffs Monday night in Kansas City, Kansas. 

The police department said Deron McAfee, 21, escaped officers who arrested him. Police last saw McAfee at about 9 p.m. at 106th Street and Parallel Parkway, near The Legends mall.  

At the time of his arrest and escape, McAfee was wearing a plaid shirt with a black, red and white pattern. He also had a white undershirt. McAfee is 5'10" and weighs 160 pounds. 

Officers arrested McAfee for felony charges. A search of Wyandotte County jail records shows deputies have booked McAffe for felonies and misdemeanors in the past. He last got out of jail on January 5, 2018, according to jail records.
