Olathe GOP candidate in JoCo jail on election perjury charges

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Adam Thomas, 35, of Olathe, Kansas, is in the Johnson County Detention Center on charges of election perjury.

Prosecutors charged Thomas Thursday with the crime, which court documents allege happened on May 31, 2018.

Thomas, a Republican, is running for a seat in the 26th Kansas House of Representatives District.

Thomas remained in jail Thursday afternoon on a $2,500 bond.
