A KCK firefighter is accused of acting inappropriately with a minor.
Shane McClure is charged with aggravated indecent liberties with a child.
The district attorney's office didn't release much information Wednesday so 41 Action News went to McClure's home, where police arrested him in the morning.
His wife answered the door.
“I understand that but it's a lie,” she said.
According to court records, a judge issued a protection order after a teenage girl told police that McClure routinely molested her from 2008 to 2014.
The report accuses McClure of fondling her while she slept and even in the shower.
McClure's wife vehemently defended her husband.
“My husband is a damn good man,” she said.
The Kansas City, Kansas Fire Department released the following statement:
"The Kansas City Kansas Fire Department has been informed by law enforcement that an employee has been charged with a criminal act and is in custody. The department has placed this employee on UNPAID ADMINISTRATIVE SUSPENSION pending the outcome of legal proceedings."
Bond is set at $150,000.
