OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Johnson County prosecutors have charged a 45-year-old Overland Park man with several sex crimes against a child.
Richard Barrett, a registered sex offender, faces one count of aggravated indecent liberties, one count of sodomy and one count indecent solicitation.
He was convicted for enticement of a child in Platte City, Missouri in 2006.
The crimes are alleged to have occurred between May 1, 2016 and October 1, 2016 in Overland Park with a child between the ages of 14-16 years old.
Barrett made his video appearance on Friday at 1:30 p.m. in Olathe.
He remains in the Johnson County Detention Center on a $250,000 bond.
