Thieves hit a popular jewelry store in Overland Park, Kansas early Monday morning.
The smash and grab happened at Precious Metals and Gems near 82nd Street and Metcalf Avenue.
Overland Park Police said they received a burglary call around 4 a.m. Monday morning.
The store is conducting an inventory to determine what and how much was stolen.

Precious Metals and Gems has been around for more than 30 years. Besides selling rare jewelry, the store also buys and sells gold and silver coins.
Neighboring businesses didn't have surveillance cameras pointing toward the store. Police hope cameras inside the store will help with this investigation.
No arrests have been made.
