Harrisonville police said they have answers about a local rumor.
The department posted on Facebook that over the past year they heard rumors of a submerged car in North Lake.
On Saturday, Harrisonville investigators, with the help of Lee’s Summit Underwater Rescue and Recovery, went to North Lake with sonar equipment.
Police said on Facebook they learned that “rock beats fish finder, or at least a large rounded rock can LOOK like a car underwater on a fish finder.”
While police solved one mystery they teased about another, saying on scene they saw an unknown subject passing nearby. They code-named the subject “Large Feet.”
