Police arrested a driver Thursday morning after a high-speed car chase crossed state lines.
According to officials, the chase began on Independence Avenue around 2:15 a.m., where the driver reached speeds of 90 mph.
From there, it continued on I-70 and then I-670 as the chase headed west into KCK.
Along the way, police were able to use stop sticks to blow out all four tires on the Jeep.
The driver then slowed down to 10 mph on the highway, which caused a traffic backup.
Authorities arrested the driver on I-70, west of 7th Street.
It’s unclear why the driver was trying to get away from police.
