The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday night's Kansas Lottery drawing is worth $227 million, with a cash value of $141 million. Powerball is also played in Missouri.
No one won the Powerball jackpot in the Dec. 19 drawing, but one lucky ticket sold in northeast Kansas matched four of the first five Powerball numbers and the Powerball to win a $100,000 cash prize.
The winning ticket was sold at the Price Shopper 121 in Leawood. The prize was claimed by a Leawood resident on Dec. 22, who wishes to remain anonymous.
The Hot Lotto jackpot returned to an estimated $1 million for tonight’s drawing after the jackpot was won by a Maine resident Dec.19 for $1.1 million.
The jackpot-winning ticket worth $676,242 from the October 28 Super Kansas Cash drawing still remains unclaimed. The winning ticket was purchased in northeast Kansas. The winning numbers for the October 28 drawing were 5-14-16-23-27 Cashball 1.
The Mega Millions jackpot for the December 25 drawing is worth an estimated $104 million, with a cash option of $64.4 million.
