Sarah McClure, who was listed in the suit as 'Jane Doe 7,' is the second student who filed a lawsuit against the University of Kansas over sexual assault.
McClure was a member of the university's rowing team. She alleges she was sexually assaulted in 2015 by the same football player who assaulted a rower a year before.
Timeline of legal filings
March 11: Class action lawsuit filed against KU by Daisy Tackett's parents
March 21: Title IX lawsuit filed against KU by Daisy Tackett
April 18: Title IX lawsuit filed against KU by Sarah McClure
May 27: Motion filed by KU to dismiss Tackett's Title IX lawsuit
The civil suit accuses the university of failing to properly investigate the second assault, failing to protect the victim from subsequent intimidation by the football player and violating Title IX by allowing her to coaches to retaliate against her after she reported sexual assault.
McClure and her father, Jim McClure, are joining the class action lawsuit filed by former KU rower Daisy Tackett's parents. It's one of three lawsuits the university is facing over sexual assault.

Erinn Barcomb-Peterson, the Director for News and Media Relations at the University of Kansas, sent 41 Action News the following statement:
"The University of Kansas takes very seriously any and all claims of sexual assault and sexual violence. To protect the rights of all students involved, federal law prohibits the university from releasing details on individual sexual assault investigations. The university thoroughly investigated Ms. McClure’s allegations, and as a result, the accused student is no longer enrolled at KU. We are confident the courts will agree that we’ve met our obligations to both Ms. McClure and Ms. Tackett."
McClure's father says his daughter does not plan on going back to KU in the fall, but does plan on completing her education.
McClure's parents put together a website to raise awareness and to tell her story: http://www.kusexualassault.com/.
