KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A judge gave approval to the final lawsuit against the owner of a duck boat that sank in Table Rock Lake in 2018, killing 17 people, according to records.

The settlement in the wrongful death lawsuit — which named Ripley Entertainment, Branson Duck Vehicles and operator Kenneth McKee as defendants — was approved by a judge on Friday. An upcoming trial set for later this month was canceled.

The settlement amount was not disclosed.

The suit was filed by the son of Rosemarie Hamann, one of the 17 victims in the deadly June 19, 2018 sinking.

Ripley Entertainment suspended operation of the boats after the sinking. Three of its employees face federal charges, including McKee.
