6:49 p.m. | Chiefs coach Andy Reid said Deandre Baker broke his left femur in Sunday's game. Wille Gay suffered a sprained ankle.

6:22 p.m. | The Chiefs scored on their fourth quarter opening drive after Henne shot an eight-yard pass to Thompson, making it a 10-point game at 31-21.

The Chargers didn’t let their narrow too much, though, scoring a touchdown following a 34-yard reception to bring the score to 38-21.

The Chiefs finish the season 14-2.

5:46 p.m. | Chargers running back Austin Ekeler was ruled out for the rest of the game as his team started the second half.

He’s undergoing concussion protocol after a hard hit that resulted in a personal foul penalty against the Chiefs in the second quarter.

A sack on Herbert by Chiefs defensive end Tim Ward ended the Chargers’ drive with a punt.

Chiefs’ Baker exited the game in the third quarter with a leg injury.

He and Gay were were downgraded to out.

The Chargers were again successful in their drive with Mike Williams catching a touchdown pass, bringing the score to 31-14 at the end of the third quarter.

4:55 p.m. | The second quarter started with a circus-like catch on Pringle’s part.

After a stopped run attempt at a touchdown from Henne, Thompson made it into the end zone to bring the score to 14-7.

The Chargers’ first possession of the second was unsuccessful, resulting in a punt.

Punt returner Mecole Hardman, however, mishandled the punt and the Chargers got the ball back.

That possession did result in a touchdown, tying it up 14-14.

The Chiefs were forced to punt on their second possession of the quarter after an incompletion from Henne.

Cornerback Deandre Baker made his first sack as a Chief.

The Chargers optimized on the Chiefs’ poor field position and tackled Henne in the end zone, resulting in a safety.

With the ball back in the Chargers’ possession and yardage gained from two Chiefs penalties, Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert scored another 6.

The Chargers went for a two-point conversion to end the quarter 24-14.

3:55 p.m. | Backup Chiefs quarterback Chad Henne started the first quarter with a touchdown.

A 36-yard reception by running back Darwin Thompson helped the Chiefs move down the field toward the end zone, where wide receiver Byron Pringle caught the scoring pass.

The Chargers tied it up after their first possession with a touchdown to tight end Donald Parham Jr.

Chiefs rookie linebacker Willie Gay (leg/ankle) exited the game early and is questionable to return, according to the team.

The Chiefs ended the quarter in the middle of a promising drive.

PREVIOUS | The Kansas City Chiefs are set to wrap up their regular season campaign this afternoon hosting the Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium.

At 14-1, the Chiefs have locked up the top seed in the AFC, which includes a bye week and home field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.

With those goodies in hand, head coach Andy Reid said this week that many of the team’s front line players, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes, will not see action against the 6-9 Chargers.

Chiefs backup quarterback Chad Henne will get the start. Matt Moore will serve as Henne’s backup.

Several other Chiefs players won’t see action as well, including wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Sammy Watkins.
