UPDATES | Ecuador to take on Curaçao in Kansas City's second World Cup match Saturday

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City will host its second World Cup match Saturday at Kansas City Stadium.

On Friday, KC2026 announced updates to its transportation plan to take effect with Saturday’s match. KC2026 also shared a Kansas City Stadium transportation guide Saturday on social media.

Play kicks off at 7 p.m. as Ecuador takes on Curaçao in a Group E stage match. It is available to watch on FS1.

Other matches happening Saturday:

  • Noon — Netherlands vs. Sweden (FOX); Houston Stadium GROUP F
  • 3 p.m. — Germany vs. Ivory Coast (FOX); Toronto Stadium GROUP E
  • 11 p.m. — Tunisia vs. Japan (FS1); Monterrey Stadium GROUP F

UPDATE, 3 p.m. | The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department took to social media Saturday to remind FIFA Fan Fest visitors of the event's clear bag policy.

KCPD said bags that don't meet policy requirements are "diverting law enforcement resources, as the bags must be thoroughly inspected." Police also said there has been an issue with fans stashing "non-complaint bags" around the venue, which creates a security risk.

UPDATE, 2 p.m. | The Netherlands topped Sweden 5-1 in Saturday's Group F stage match at Houston Stadium.

UPDATE, 1:15 p.m. | Ecuador fans took over Q39 in Midtown for some Kansas City barbecue Saturday ahead of the team's match at 7 p.m.
