In an era where you can get Netflix to stream straight into your living room and where you can download eBooks to read straight on your cellphone, the Kansas City, Kansas Library got to thinking, why not bring books straight to book lovers?
The Kansas City, Kansas Mobile Library shelves are lined with books, CDs, DVDs, and laptops connected to the internet.
"For the elderly, it's wonderful for them because they can come here to get movies, get books," said Edwardsville, Kansas resident Connie Wright. "For schools it would be great for the little kids that can't get to the library. So I think this is an excellent opportunity for people to get books."

"They want a movie or they want a book but then this small space allows them to browse too so that they might find something new they never thought they'd try," said mobile librarian Linda Bowman.
