Good late Friday afternoon bloggers,

As the new data rolls in summer is in full force. The humidity continues to be extremely high and it has lead to these high heat index values:

The dew points have been in the upper 70s with actual temperatures in the mid to upper 90s. And, for the first time this year it is beginning to turn brown:

In the summer, even if you have average rainfall it isn’t enough for the grass and some other vegetation. We really need around 2″ of rain per week to keep everything lush and green, and we know it has dried out. There is a chance of rain showing up, but not until Sunday or Sunday night.

The sequence of maps above shows the development of thunderstorms early Sunday and late Sunday. We will have to see how it truly sets up with outflow boundaries and more this weekend.

Have a great Friday Night In The Big Town!

Gary
