Moscow Mule
½ ounce ginger simple syrup
1 ½ ounces vodka
2 ounces soda water
¼ lime, cut into two squeezes
- Coat copper mug with ginger syrup.
- Combine vodka and soda water in mug, top with ice, and squeeze lime into drink.
To make ginger simple syrup:
2 cups water
2 cups sugar
2 pieces ginger root, peeled and sliced into rounds
- Boil water and sugar over medium high heat.
- Add ginger slices and let mixture return to a simmer.
- Remove from heat and allow to steep 30 minutes.
- Strain syrup, keep refrigerated up to a month.
