Homeless woman stabbed on Indian Creek Trail

Police on Wednesday are investigating another stabbing on the Indian Creek Trail.

Around 5:10 a.m., officers responded to 102nd and Wornall where they found a woman and a witness.

The woman told police she and a friend were both sleeping behind QuikTrip's fence.

The victim woke up because she felt pain to her left shoulder. She looked over and saw her arm was bleeding. She woke up her friend who helped her get to QuikTrip where they called for help.

On Saturday night, a homeless man was stabbed. People who live in the area told 41 Action News the number of homeless in the area is on the rise.

In Wednesday morning's crime, paramedics took the woman to the hospital with minor injuries.

She did not see who stabbed her.
