The rain kept things quiet for some fireworks stands in around the metro, including the manager of one stand in KCK who spoke to 41 Action News.
The manager says they depend on the Fourth of July to to meet their sales goals, meaning many people wait until the last minute or come back for more the day of the holiday.
He's hopeful the rain will clear by this afternoon or early evening and customers will be able to come in an shop around.
