Funk Fest was returning to Kansas City after it was canceled due to severe weather in June. Now confusion about the scheduled venue has delayed ticket sales.
According to concert promoter Variety Entertainment, the show was scheduled to be August 19 at Kaw Point Park (1403 Fairfax Trafficway, Kansas City, Kansas). According to the KCK Unified Government, Variety Entertainment didn't complete the proper steps to hold the event at the park.
Tickets for Funk Fest Vol. 2 were scheduled to go on sale Friday, but Variety Entertainment's Public Relations Manager Jessica Manning said tickets will not go on sale until the venue issue is resolved.
According to a news release, Funk Fest Vol. 2 will feature a line-up that includes Keith Sweat, Bell Biv Devoe, Guy ft. Teddy Riley, Doug E. Fresh, and SWV.
