Members of the local field office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are now in Dallas.

The office has sent personnel and the mobile command post to assist the Dallas Field Division with the investigation of the ambush that killed five police officers Thursday night, according to public information officer and special investigator John Ham.

Agents left Kansas City around midnight.

The Kansas City field office oversees Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa.
