Three suspects wanted in a carjacking are in custody and being taken to the hospital, after sending KCPD on a chase.
Just before 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, officers saw a stolen car suspected to have been used in recent robberies.
The suspects' car crashed between a telephone pole and traffic light at Blue Ridge Boulevard and 87th Street while fleeing from officers around 7:15 a.m.
An officer was taken to the hospital with what first responders think is a broken leg after a police car hit the officer while they were on foot.
The suspects asked to be taken to the hospital, but police say they don't think their injuries are serious.
