Winnetonka High School has found its new principal.
The North Kansas City School District Board of Education named Dr. Eric Johnson as the school's new principal. Johnson is a Kansas City native and worked in Columbia Public Schools for the last 10 years. He starts his new job July 1.
Johnson is taking over after the former principal, Matthew Lindsey, was charged with statutory rape. Lindsey is accused of carrying on a sexual relationship with a student when he was vice principal of Richmond High School between 1997 and 1999.
