Ginny Kalmer’s campaign for Cass County Administrator is off to a rocky start. She believes someone is trying to derail her campaign by destroying and taking down her campaign signs.

She believes plastic ties were cut off one of her signs.

"We feel like the sign has been cut, if it was going to blow down it would have torn out of the plastic rather than break these," said Kalmer.

Kalmer and her family made it a point to put the signs back up.

“We are going to put them back up, we will put them back up as many times as they come down, I am not going to be intimidated," said Kalmer.

If you have a campaign sign stolen from your yard or vandalized, the Cass County Sheriff's Office says to alert the campaign and have them file a report.

If someone is caught stealing or destroying a sign, they could face criminal charges, fines and in some cases jail time.
