A Raytown business owner is hoping surveillance footage will help identify a man who broke into Soccer One KC and stole snacks and clothing.

Christian Escobar opened the indoor soccer complex over a year ago.

However, his business has been broken into three times. The latest burglary happening Saturday evening after Escobar and his wife locked up their business.

“It’s very hard, very hard especially when we’ve been hit the way we have,” Escobar said.

The first burglary happened in November 2016.

According to Escobar, thieves stole thousands of dollars’ worth of items, including computers and merchandise. Which is why they installed security cameras a couple weeks ago.

On Saturday, the cameras captured a man breaking into the facility’s back door, where he stole Skittles, Airheads and a Gatorade and changed into clothes from the ‘lost and found.’

Even though the items stolen would have cost less than $10, Escobar wants to make sure this never happens again.

“I just want this guy to know we are watching him. And send a message to all of those people who are trying to do this to a small business,” he said.
