Kansas City Royals agree to one-year deal with Eric Hosmer, avoid arbitration

The Kansas City Royals announced Friday they have agreed to a one-year deal with Eric Hosmer, avoiding arbitration.
The Royals said in a news release that Hosmer set career highs in 2016 with 25 home runs and 104 RBI. He was also named All-Star Game MVP.
