Kansas City Royals' pitcher Jason Vargas back on the field

Kansas City Royals' left-handed pitcher, Jason Vargas will make his season debut in Saturday's game against the Chicago White Sox.

The Royals announced on Saturday that Vargas was reinstated from the 60-day disabled list after recovering from Tommy John surgery.

Right-handed pitcher, Chien-Ming Wang, was also reinstated from the 15-day disabled list and was designated for assignment.
