KSHB's Jeff Penner breaks down the five things you need to know about this Monday's weather change in the video above.

1. When does the cold air arrive? It will arrive tonight even though the front moves through Sunday afternoon.  The cold air is lagging the main cold front.

2. How cold will it get? Lows tonight will drop into the upper 20s with highs tomorrow holding around 30°.  We will not get into Arctic air as it gets deflected to the Great Lakes.  Temperatures will be dropping to just a bit below average this week.

3. We have been talking about wind.  So, how windy will it become?  The winds will be from the northwest sustained at 15-30 mph.  There will be gusts to 35-45 mph.  This could bring down some tree limbs and there could be a few power outages.  This will make the wind chill Monday morning between 5° and 15° despite temperatures near 30°.

4. Will we see any snow? We are expecting scattered snow showers tonight into Monday morning.  A few locations will see a dusting of white.  Also, with the wind gusting to 35-45 mph there will be the chance for a brief reduction (10 minutes or less at any one time) in visibility in the heavier snow showers.

5. What does this mean for the Monday morning rush hour?  We do not expect major road issues, but that being said there will be a chance of slick areas as the snow showers move by so use caution.  The wind will be strong, so the snow may just blow around on the roads in other locations.  The winds will be strong from the northwest, so as you travel on an east-west road, hold on to the steering wheel as your vehicle may get buffeted around.
