1st KCPD officer to contract COVID-19 returns to work

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The first Kansas City, Missouri, police officer who tested positive for the novel coronavirus has returned to work.

A KCPD spokesperson said that Monday was the officer’s first day back on the job.

As of Monday morning, eight KCPD employees had tested positive for COVID-19.

Forty-four employees have been tested for the virus, while 56 currently are in quarantine.
