KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Four Jackson County businesses have been ticketed for violating health orders intended to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus, including one gym that has defied mask mandates.

Ryan Waters, owner of Lee’s Summit’s Shredd KC, was issued a ticket Oct. 8 and again on Nov. 23. If Waters receives a third ticket, he must appear in court.

The following business owners have been issued a first-warning ticket:

  • Andrew Haddadi, of Cuddle Up Pup, 951 Wildwood Drive in Lee’s Summit, on Nov. 25.
  • Suzanne Pearce, of Chucks Boots, 346 Southwest Blue Parkway in Lee’s Summit, on Nov. 30.
  • Clement Danworth, of Genesis Health, 900 Northeast Deerbrooke in Lee’s Summit, on Dec. 1.

Complaints can be reported to the Jackson County Environmental Health Office.
