KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Several members of an area high school’s varsity football squad are in quarantine after exposure to COVID-19.

In a message posted to its website, Braymer C-4 School District said some of its football team was exposed to the virus during last Friday’s game against St. Paul Lutheran School out of St. Joseph, Missouri.

A St. Paul student was contagious during and later tested positive for COVID-19 after the game.

Braymer officials said they are cooperating with the Caldwell County Health Department.

The students who played in the game are under a 14-day quarantine, according to the message.

Braymer schools said this Friday’s game against Keytesville has been canceled as a result.

Braymer, Missouri, is located about 70 miles northeast of Kansas City.
