WASHINGTON — Missouri Republican Sen. Josh Hawley is getting an additional COVID-19 test after attending a White House ceremony for Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett with President Donald Trump and two other senators who later tested positive for the virus.

Hawley’s office said Saturday morning that Hawley, who tested negative twice within the last week, would undergo the additional test out of an abundance of caution.

The senator tweeted Saturday night that he was "pleased to report" the negative result and that he was praying for President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump and "every American who is battling this virus."
