KCPD makes arrest in June homicide

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police said they have made an arrest in a homicide that happened on June 11.

Germon Stevens was taken into custody on Wednesday for the shooting death of Michael Lothridge. Lothridge's sister was also shot in the incident but survived.

A warrant was issued for Stevens on June 14 on charges of first-degree murder, armed criminal action and domestic assault.

The shooting happened in the 7800 block of East 118th Terrace in Kansas City, Missouri.

Exact charges and bond conditions are unknown at this time.
