KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police are seeking a man who may have information in the shooting death of 1-year-old Tyron Payton in September.

On Tuesday, police posted a photo of the man, asking for anyone with information on his identity to call the Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers Tips Hotline at 816-474-8477 (TIPS).

Tyron Payton was killed when someone fired multiple shots into a vehicle on Sept. 21 near East 33rd Street and Agnes Avenue.

His parents, who were sitting in the front seat, also were injured in the shooting.

Tyron's mother, Juhna Payton, told 41 Action News the baby was struck seven times before her husband could drive away, going to a nearby fire station for help.

“I want to find them,” Juhna Payton said in mid-October. “Find who did this to us because we didn't deserve it. Nobody deserves it. No mother, no child deserves it.”

Following Tyron's shooting, police and community activists pleaded with the public to come forward with information that could help solve the killing, but no arrests have been made.
